New to golf?

Looking to start out, but don’t know where to begin? At the Sir Bob Charles Golf Centre, we offer club hire and lessons tailored toward beginners to make your entry into golf as easy and accessible as possible.

How to get started:
1
Attend an open day
Keep an eye on our socials or sign up to our mailing list to find out about upcoming open days and beginner events where you can try our facilities.
2
Come hit a bucket of balls
More comfortable getting a feel for things on your own and at your own pace?
Hire a club and hit a bucket of balls at our driving range.
3
Book a beginner lesson
Book an introductory lesson with our in-house coaches Jess Reid, and Steven Yang.
They’ll teach you the basic fundamentals of golf from course terrain, club selection,
stance, and swing.
4
Take part in a group clinic
Group clinics are a fun and social way to get started. We run a series of clinics tailored specifically toward entry-level skills, as well as the ‘She Loves Golf’ programme, a short-format social event for women to enjoy a round.
